Director of Sales – North America position as we ramp up sales of our products. The position reports to LUMETA’s Executive Vice President/General Manager and works out of the Company’s San Leandro, California office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive, plan and execute sales of the Lumeta product line throughout North America
- Build, manage and motivate the sales team
- Manage the Company’s strategic alliance efforts to leverage complimentary sales channels and increase market penetration and business opportunities
- Focus business development efforts in the following channels: direct commercial customers (e.g., big box retailers or distribution center owners); solar integrators/distributors; solar focused utilities; government (schools, military bases)
- Ensure the ‘qualification’ process is managed effectively with channel partners
- Establish product booking and revenue targets and a cohesive business development plan in conjunction with the parent company’s overall business objectives
- Coordinate the specific objectives of the business development plan with all of the functional departments of the subsidiary and its affiliated entities, DRI Energy and DRI Residential
- Maintain the business forecast and develop a quotation system as well as terms and conditions for the United States
- Focus on developing and managing business relationships with key accounts and ensure their needs are prioritized
- Maintain a strong technical understanding of Lumeta products, their installation processes, product performance and related economics
- Manage the complete business cycle, from initial proposal, pricing and delivery to final payment receipt
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum seven years experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the PV sector
- Demonstrated sales skills and a proven track record of successfully growing a business in the PV sector
- Ability to skillfully represent Lumeta and effectively interface with senior level management at partner companies
- Ability to take a ‘hands on’ role when needed relative to the construction of detailed proposals
- Ability to ‘dig up’ and develop new opportunities through networking
- Possess high level of credibility and integrity
- Ability to independently thrive in a start-up environment, meet aggressive deadlines and successfully multi-task
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
